The Lotte New York Palace , NYC
As part of the 140 million dollar renovation of the Palace in 2013, Southport provided the MEP support for the four lobby bars including a sunken bar, the VILLARD restaurant and the Pomme Palais café. Southport engineered the cogeneration system consisting of twelve turbines which efficiently manages all of the machinery including heating and cooling equipment to support energy conservation. Southport provided technical engineering support services to assist the property in establishing a “Base Year” for the NYC Carbon Challenge.
JW Marriott Essex House, NYC
Essex House is immediately recognizable by the iconic 6-story neon sign on its roof. The rest of the hotel with MEP support by Southport features up to date and efficient MEP systems. Southport reconfigured power distribution and designed new electrical risers. Southport provided the engineering for boiler replacement. Cooling tower controls and operational testing tech support was provided.
Sandy Lane Hotel, Barbados
Sandy Lane is a five star beach front resort. This hotel has an underground engineering plant to provide all back of the house services and a desalination plant. Southport has provided engineering technical assistance to improve and/or repair the hotel’s fire protection pumping system, electrical systems, building management system, solar and mechanical heating and cooling systems.
