Coming from a diverse engineering background including consulting, design and construction, Bill Urban joined Southport in 2006 to augment the firm's project management capabilities, utilizing his extensive expertise in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection engineering and building automation systems.
Bill specializes in design and management of all trades engineering design for projects in the commercial, hospitality, restaurant and residential segments. He has experience in providing building commissioning services, as well as undertaking energy evaluations / audits and LEED projects.
Bill is an expert in central plans and utility services and has overseen numerous upgrades of facility infrastructure, boilers, chillers as well as upgrades to utility systems such as steam and gas.
Bill is a registered professional engineer in three states, as well as a member of ASHRAE, ASPE and NFPA.
